The Minion Mini-Movie Rankings
The MINIONS are by far the best thing about Despicable Me and with tickets for their first solo film, Minions, going on sale this week, The Animated Dragon thought that the event should be celebrated by ranking all of the Minions mini-movies so far.
6. Home Makeover
The girls receive a phone call telling them that Gru’s house is to be inspected and if it is not deemed suitable for children, they will be sent back to the orphanage. The problem is, Gru has gone out to get more plutonium. The minions and the girls decide to take action to make Gru’s home more child friendly and convince the social worker that they are more than safe staying there.
5. Orientation Day
It’s the first day at Gru Laboratories for three new minions. They have been assigned the job of bomb carriers however, they don't pay attention during their orientation film screening, leading to disastrous results.

4. Panic in the Mailroom
Ken tries to make working more fun by throwing fragile parcels around the mailroom of Gru Laboratories however, one parcel containing PX-41 explodes covering Mike and turning him into a purple minion. Mike starts to eat all the deliveries and at first Ken thinks this is hilarious, that is until some kittens are heading into Mike’s path.
3. Training Wheels
Agnes is upset as she can’r ride a bike like her big sisters to go an get angry and so the minions decide to build her a better bike to allow her to play with the others. However, the minions transform her bike in true minion fashion with unicorn handlebars and a turbo engine. Agnes finally catches up to the ice cream van, but before she can get her treats, a burglar steals the van and drives off. But no one stands in the way of Agnes and ice cream, no one…
2. Banana
One minion has brought a banana to work in his packed lunch. However, another minion spots it and decides he wants it for himself. Chaos ensues as more and more minions see the banana and try to steal it. After watching this short you wont be able to say banana in a normal voice again. Banana?
1. Puppy
Dave wants a puppy however he has no luck trying to find on and instead stumbles across a lost UFO and decides to adopt him. This short is very similar to E.T. and packs just about the same level of emotion. If you ever need to be cheered up, this is the short for you. I watched this so much during my time at university that I now feel guilty for not giving it a mention in my dissertation. Enjoy!
